Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas!! Owen's first Christmas!!! This year Adam actually had somewhat of an idea about Christmas so I was super excited for him to wake up! Of course he slept in and we had to wake him up, although I'm sure this is the last year we'll have to do that.
He enjoyed tearing open his presents and seeing what was inside. When he got to his truck/car carrier I heard a "Wow!" and "Woah!" as he was opening. A few other favorites were Thomas mini's from Gammy and Grandpa, a few more Thomas trains, and a Thomas firehouse for his tracks.
Owen enjoyed gnawing on his hands and drooling all over everything while watching all of the excitement. And of course Bailey loved opening a few treats. Both of the boys went down for their naps simultaneously so I was able to watch part of a Christmas movie, and we were able to FaceTime with both of our parents as well.

Merry Christmas Eve!
We had a nice quiet family day at home! We baked some cookies for Santa, got cool reindeer tattoos, opened a few gifts early (Adam was only supposed to open one but he couldn't resist the Santa bag), so consequently we played with play dough too. We watched a few Christmas cartoons, some football, and of course finished the night watching Christmas Vacation!

Breakfast with Santa!
This past weekend Tom's job offered Breakfast with Santa for all employees and their children. Adam loved the breakfast (mo' pancakes!) but was kind of iffy about the rest of the morning. He played a few games, listened to some stories, and just walked around taking it all in.
When the time came for pictures with Santa, I sat Owen on Mrs. Claus's lap thinking Adam could sit on Santa's lap. Nope. He had to sit next to Owen. He wasn't really sure what to think about it. Owen, on the other hand, loved it. He was just smiling and looking around. I think he liked being the center of attention!

Choo Choo! The Holiday Train
Last weekend we took the boys to ride the CTA Holiday Train. It wasn't too cold so we thought it would be perfect.
We got there early to make sure we didn't miss it. Which turned out to be a mistake because of course the train was running like a half hour behind schedule! Watching 10+ trains go by and not being able to get on one is not an enjoyable activity for a toddler, apparently!
Thankfully it finally came so we hopped on. It was packed! I think Adam enjoyed all of the lights and Christmas music. Mainly though I think he was just happy to finally get on the train! Owen slept through the whole thing (or most of it at least)!
