Adam had his first day of preschool today!! He was so excited to wear his backpack and go to school! He didn't even look back when he went in! I asked him what he did at school when I picked him up and he said he played with cars, "digged" in the sand and sang Wheels on the Bus.

Day Out With Thomas
Last weekend we went to Day Out With Thomas. I grossly underestimated how busy/popular it would be and that the parking lot would be completely packed requiring us to go to overflow parking almost a mile away. In turn we missed our train despite running while lugging both boys. Thankfully the man in charge of everything took pity on us and allowed us to catch the next train. This was of course before I realized we forgot the diaper bag (with my wallet and everything else we needed for the boys) in the car. So while Tom went back to the car (with Owen, since he's attached to him at the hip), I had to go back to the kind gentleman and plead yet again for him to allow us on the next train. Thankfully it wasn't an issue and we finally boarded the Thomas train.
Despite our bad luck with actually getting on the train, we had some good luck while riding. It was supposed to rain on and off all day, but somehow the only time it rained (and torrential downpoured) was when we were actually on the train. We had to quickly put the windows up, but other than that we stayed nice and dry.
After the train ride, we walked around for a little to check out the railway museum and grab lunch, but then we headed home. Next year we will definitely allow for more time and plan to make a day out of it. I had no idea they were going to have so many other activities in addition to the train ride!

Raindrops keep falling on my head
Adam had been asking for a raincoat ever since he saw our neighbor wearing one last spring. I figured he actually needs one now that we'll be walking to and from preschool everyday so last week I did a quick search and found this awesome police raincoat on sale at Macy's.
It came yesterday and he wore it all afternoon and evening, despite it being 90° and sunny. This morning he was playing outside, and imagine his excitement when it actually started raining!
Tap tap. Is this thing on??
Helllooooo out there! Yes I'm still alive. I've sadly just gotten away from blogging because it's so much easier to just post a picture on facebook or Instagram.
I miss blogging and I miss having this wonderful chronicle of our lives so I'm going to try my best to post some updates. I'm going to back date everything (because I'm neurotic) and probably post in random order, but the good news is I'll (hopefully) be blogging again! Stay tuned.
